About Melinda Loughren

My name is Melinda Loughren, and I have been passionately dedicated to the healthcare field since 1996. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Reflexologist, and Advanced Foot Care Nurse Provider, I have honed my skills in various healthcare settings, all while prioritizing compassion, strength, and empathy. My commitment to high-quality care is further reinforced by my memberships in the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN) and the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

Since 2016, I have developed a particular focus on advanced foot care and diabetic foot care, recognizing these areas often receive less attention despite their critical importance. By integrating my nursing expertise with my passion for people, I aim to provide holistic care that addresses the often-overlooked needs of my patients. At Sweet Feet, we believe in supporting your healthcare journey wherever you are. Our approach emphasizes collaboration with healthcare teams, families, and referring physicians, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged in the process of care.

Just as every part of a bike is essential for a smooth ride, so too is every member of the healthcare team crucial for optimal health outcomes. Our philosophy revolves around teamwork and communication, ensuring that we work together seamlessly to provide you with the best care possible. I look forward to partnering with you on your health journey and making a positive impact on your well-being!

Welcome Taylor Frank to Sweet Feet

We are thrilled to welcome Taylor Frank to the Sweet Feet team! A dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Taylor has been making a significant impact in nursing since graduating in 2014. She began her career at Masterpiece Southland Meadows, where she was the first nurse hired and played a crucial role in the facility’s transition. Her leadership and commitment quickly shone through as she took on the role of Care Coordinator for Assisted and Independent Living, where she ensured that exceptional care was delivered by collaborating closely with nursing staff and serving as the facility Educator.

Taylor’s journey in nursing has been marked by a deep dedication to patient-centered care and a reputation as a trusted, approachable professional. After nearly a decade in the field, she discovered her passion for foot care and completed her advanced foot care course in January 2024. Now, as an Advanced Foot Care Nurse Provider at Sweet Feet, she is thrilled to further specialize in an area that resonates deeply with her. Under the mentorship of Melinda Loughren, a renowned foot care nurse, Taylor is committed to enhancing the quality of care for her patients.

As an active member of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) and the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN), Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. Her compassionate approach and expertise in working with seniors ensure that all her patients receive the calm and supportive care they deserve. We are excited to have Taylor on board and look forward to the positive impact she will make at Sweet Feet!
